In my youthful years, I was fortunate enough to pay a visit to Rodin,

the world-famous master of sculpture.

I entered his simple and quiet studio,

where countless clay models and unfinished statues stood quietly.

Rodin received me with sincere kindness,

and patiently showed me his artistic works.

At first, he chatted with me warmly and shared his understanding of art.

Before long, his attention was firmly attracted by an unfinished clay figure.

He stepped backward constantly to observe the statue from different angles,

carefully checking every subtle detail of the work.

He stretched out his skilled fingers to adjust the clay gently,

correcting the tiny flaws that ordinary people could hardly notice.

Gradually, he completely forgot my existence in the studio.

He devoted all his mind and energy to the creation in front of him.

He ignored the passing time, the surrounding environment,

and the young guest standing silently beside him.

Time flowed away unconsciously.

Hours slipped by in total silence.

He focused entirely on polishing his work,

as if there was nothing else in the world except the statue and himself.

After finishing the final modification,

he let out a relieved sigh and covered the clay statue with soft cloth.

It was a gesture full of tenderness and solemn respect for art.

Only at this moment did he suddenly recall my visit.

He turned around in surprise and made a sincere apology for his absent-mindedness.

Witnessing the whole process of Rodin’s creation,

I suddenly comprehended the eternal secret of all great achievements.

True success never relies on talent alone.

It lies in absolute concentration and wholehearted devotion.

Only when we gather all our scattered willpower,

and fix our full attention on a single task,

can we break through limitations and pursue perfection.

This precious lesson deeply shocked my heart,

and has guided my study and creation ever since.
