There are moments

when the past suddenly rises

and stands beside us,

clearer than the present.

We walk through ordinary days,

busy with trivial matters,

blinded by immediate worries,

and forget how many silent lives

have passed before ours.

The old woman sitting by the roadside,

the one who bends slowly

and gazes far into the distance,

carries within her body

a whole world that we cannot see.

She was once young,

light-footed and hopeful,

filled with dreams

that belonged only to her youth.

She once laughed loudly,

ran freely under the sunshine,

and held countless gentle expectations

for the unknown future of life.

Time did not pause for her tenderness.

It swept away her youth,

faded the brightness of her eyes,

wore away the vitality of her body,

and left behind only wrinkles,

silence, and endless memories.

People pass by her casually,

casting indifferent glances.

They see only an old,

plain, and helpless figure,

without thinking

that every wrinkle on her face

records pain and persistence,

every quiet breath she takes

contains joys and sorrows

that once shook her whole world.

We are always quick

to judge the old and ordinary.

We ignore the splendor of their youth,

overlook the struggles of their lives,

and belittle the depth of their inner world.

Yet every aging person

is a book that has lived thoroughly.

Their silence is not emptiness,

but countless experiences

settled in the years.

Their slowness is not weakness,

but the calm after countless storms.

Life treats everyone equally.

All brilliant youth

will eventually fade with time.

All passionate dreams

will eventually settle into tranquility.

To respect an old woman

is to respect time itself.

To understand her story

is to understand the true meaning of life:

all lives are worthy of tenderness,

all experiences deserve solemn respect,

and every ordinary person

hides an extraordinary life story

that no one else has witnessed.
