not only…but also：【不但……而且……】用法解析

表示递进关系，强调后者比前者更进一步，语气上突出后一部分内容。
一、连接并列成分
可连接名词、动词、形容词、短语或分句，连接并列谓语时，可省略重复的主语。
1. She not only sings, but also dances.
【她不仅会唱歌，而且会跳舞。】
2. He not only studies hard, but also helps others.
【他不仅学习努力，而且乐于助人。】
二、句首倒装规则
当not only 放在句首时，后面的分句需要使用部分倒装语序，
将助动词提到主语前面，but also后的分句保持正常语序。
1. Not only does she sing well, but also she dances beautifully.
【她不仅歌唱得好，而且舞跳得也很美。】
2. Not only has he read the book, but also he remembers every detail.
【他不仅读过这本书，而且记得每个细节。】
三、主谓一致：就近原则
当 not only…but also…连接两个主语时，
谓语动词的单复数要与离它最近的主语（即 but also 后的主语）保持一致。
1. Not only the students but also the teacher is happy.
【不仅学生们很高兴，老师也很高兴。】
2. Not only he but also his friends are coming.
【不仅他要来，他的朋友们也要来。】

1. 倒装规则不能错用
只有not only放在句首时才需要倒装，放在句中时无需倒装。
正确：
She not only sings, but also dances.
【她不仅会唱歌，而且会跳舞。】
正确：
Not only does she sing, but also she dances.
【她不仅会唱歌，而且会跳舞。】
错误：
Not only she sings, but also dances. ❌
【错误：句首not only未倒装】
2. 就近原则必须遵守
连接两个主语时，谓语动词要和but also后的主语保持一致，
不能和前面的主语保持一致。
正确：
Not only he but also his friends are coming.
【不仅他要来，他的朋友们也要来。】
错误：
Not only he but also his friends is coming. ❌
【错误：谓语动词与前面的主语he保持了一致，违反就近原则】
3. 可以省略 also，但不能省略 but
在口语和书面语中，also可以省略，但but不能省略。
正确：
She not only sings, but dances.
【她不仅会唱歌，而且会跳舞。】
错误：
She not only sings, also dances. ❌
【错误：省略了but】
4. 连接的成分要保持结构对称
为了句子的平衡与通顺，not only和but also连接的成分应尽量保持结构一致。
正确：
He is not only kind but also helpful.
【他不仅善良，而且乐于助人。】
不推荐：
He not only is kind but also helps others.
【不推荐：结构不对称，读起来不通顺】
