Fragmented reading has swept among modern students
with the wide popularity of mobile digital devices.
This convenient reading mode brings both obvious merits
and unavoidable defects to young learners.
It enables busy students to absorb various knowledge
during short spare time like waiting or walking.
People can browse news, essays and short articles
anytime and anywhere with just a smartphone.
Yet those short scattered passages fail to build
complete and systematic logical thinking.
Readers can hardly dig deep into the core of content
or maintain long-term concentration.
Many students only grasp superficial information
without forming stable knowledge systems.
From my perspective, we should balance two reading styles.
Combine brief fragment reading with quiet in-depth reading
so that we can gain comprehensive and solid learning gains.
