the city takes on a brand-new look.
Many trees and lawns are planted along streets.
Parks and green belts appear in residential areas.
In contrast, the old city lacked green plants before.
Dust and hot weather troubled local residents.
The picture shows the value of urban green projects.
There are two key reasons to promote city greening.
First, green plants improve the urban living environment.
Trees absorb waste gas and block floating dust.
Green areas lower city temperatures in hot summer.
If cities had no enough green land, air quality would stay poor.
Second, urban green spaces benefit people’s mental health.
Citizens can walk and relax in parks after work.
Green scenery eases people’s pressure from busy work.
Without urban green zones, people lack places to get close to nature.
From my perspective, we should keep expanding urban green land.
The government should plan more parks and roadside green belts.
Every citizen can take part in tree-planting activities.
We should protect all green plants around our living areas.
