I wander freely among the woods and fields,
and my heart soars with the birds and the wind.
Then I met Lotte.
She carries a quiet grace that no other woman possesses.
When she speaks, her eyes shine with soft light,
and her smile can calm all the restlessness hidden deep inside me.
I see her take good care of her younger brothers and sisters,
treat every person around her with kindness and sincerity.
From the first moment we meet, I cannot tear my eyes away from her.
My heart is captured completely by her gentle, pure spirit.
Yet fate has laid an uncrossable barrier before us.
